All about the Kawasaki KX 450F, KX 250 F and 2006 Kawasaki KX 250 ™
Kawasaki has published photos and specifications for their 2006 models motocross today, including the long-awaited four-stroke KX450F. The big news for 2006 is that Kawasaki KX125 abandoned the range (at least the USA, according to a press representative Kawasaki), probably a consequence of poor sales compared to the KX250F four-stroke. Will two-stroke 125s disappear in 2006? We will have to wait and see what other manufacturers. Until then, here are the technical specifications on the range KX 2006. Keep in mind that the following materials prices Kawasaki press, and does not constitute MD editorial.
2006 Kawasaki KX 450F unveiled
The edge flagship KAWASAKI AWESOME combines four-stroke power with double-spar aluminum frame
Kawasaki, the brand that introduced the world motocross-like and frameworks aweinspiring powerbands, has unveiled a new flagship in its vanguard KX ™ motorcycle online. All aspects of the 2006 KX450F, its ultra-powerful four-stroke engine aluminium chassis trick and suspension, reflects its purpose as a championship-winning bike race. Kawasaki engineers have pointed out all the details on the new, liquid-cooled, 449cc four-stroke engine to ensure that its offer maximum power and traction. With double general cams, four valves and a Keihin FCR40 carburetor, it combines stunning acceleration with more good-rev capacity so that the rider can use very little of its incredible power over the racecourse. Hand-finished to maximize the intake ports of entry efficiency, while lightweight titanium valves and valve aluminum restraint alternative reduce the weight of reliable valve control at high speed. Moreover, double valve springs provide stable operation under intense racing conditions. For fast and easy way to begin, the KX450F features once compression release and automatic system hot start.
The KX450F is using newly designed, high-capacity Denso radiators, which offers better cooling under race conditions. With its radiator carefully packaged carrots and new design end, new radiators improve the dispersion of the constant heat engine power and reliability characteristics.
The KX450F is equipped with a conical exhaust pipe titanium which grows in diameter from 38 to 41mm, which contributes to its great power, and muffler new features, long-fibre packaging.
Kawasaki engineers have matched the high-technology engine to a new four-speed transmission. Combined with a manual multi-disc wet clutch, the four-speed allows the rider to take advantage of the engine intrinsically off power on the racetrack, acceleration towers high speed lines, the pilot can use KX450F precise gas to adjust the speed almost instantly. And to protect the underside of the engine and transmission, the KX450F comes with a lightweight aluminum skid.
KX450F The chassis was designed to help the rider bring the power of the engine ground. To do this, Kawasaki engineers have combined their experience designing steel perimeter KX frames and techniques used to construct the Ninja ZX ® ™ -10 R sport bike frame to create a perimeter allnew aluminum frame. Composed false, extruded and coins cast aluminum, strong double spar design gives the KX450F optimal balance of torque and longitudinal rigidity.
The framework was designed so that the centre of gravity of the chassis and key dimensions of working together to improve the rear wheel's ability to drive the KX450F forward instead of squatting under acceleration. In addition, four-stroke engine is in a vertical position in the new context of overall aid traction.
Kawasaki then added complementary front and rear suspension to the KX450F. A Kayaba AOS (Air-Oil-Separate) fork keeps oil and air in rooms for amortization of stable performance over long sleeves. On the back, UNI-TRAK ® rear suspension system has a swing arm alloy conical with stringers and ratios link to maximize traction under acceleration. Front and rear disc brakes provide petal to stop the KX450F. This not only helps to reduce unsprung weight, but the form of petal discs used to clean the brake pads more effective braking.
The slim profile of the KX450F frame, two-piece radiator shrouds that leave the upper frame spars exposed, and careful design of the body remaining KX450F make the sensation of lightness and reduce under the rider.
The KX450F comes with a handlebar Renthal aluminum, while the seat uses a slipresistant top surface for good grip seated and the right sides of enhancing mobility rider. The KX450F also has titanium footpegs and footpeg brackets for reducing overall weight. In addition to the KX450F ultra-high-performance design is aggressive bodywork and graphics.
Kawasaki offers a number of parts option for the KX450F, including a summit mounting fixture oversized handlebars, aluminium and steel rear sprockets, solid petal disc brake disc moist conditions of course, optional for springs front fork and rear shock, and 20-inch front wheel.

CHAMPIONSHIP-WINNING ™ KX 250 F Gets a Makeover DRAMA FOR 2006
125 reign supercross / ARENACROSS field gets even more power and brand new aluminum frame
Just two years after being introduced to the American motocross riders, the championship-winning KX ™ 250 F motorcycle was redrafted - even if it has five titles already under his proverbial belt.
Many changes have been made to the powerful KX250F. It produces much more power than the 2005 model it replaces, and as the new flagship KX450F, the KX250F all sports a perimeter-aluminum frame.
The 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine now KX250F-strike hard power, particularly the mid-high rpm, and it extends this gentle, traction power to seize as much rev - range.
Other improvements include revised intake and exhaust, and a revised combustion chamber for a low-to mid-performance rpm, while new cam profiles and greater compression ratio 13.5 : 1 improve rpm-high performance. To compensate for the increased production, the piston now has a thick crown.
Other changes include rigid engine valve spring to help ensure the reliable valve control at high rpm, a surface hardened crankshaft for additional rigidity and more efficient oil pumps that increase oil flow nearly 20 percent, a new stick ignition coil which reduces the total mass and design new, high-capacity Denso radiators that provide better cooling performance because of their more crowded and new kernels end design. Kawasaki also revised the timing and lift system decompression, to starting the KX250F is even easier.
The clutch and five-speed transmission have also been modified to include new friction materials and rigid plate clutch springs to improve the feeling clutch and gearbox have beefier dogs according to the most powerful engine. Kawasaki engineers were also given the KX250F shift drum a new cam to improve the feeling move.
The most visible change to the KX250F is the perimeter of aluminum frame. As for the KX450F, Kawasaki engineers have combined their experience designing steel perimeter KX frames and techniques used to build the ® ™ Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle sport chassis to create an entirely new aluminum frame perimeter. Composed false, extruded and coins cast aluminum, but the strong light design gives KX250F the best possible balance of torsional and longitudinal rigidity necessary for better manoeuvrability.
The framework was designed so that the centre of gravity of the chassis and key dimensions of working together to improve the rear wheel's ability to drive the KX250F forward instead of squatting under acceleration. In addition, four-stroke engine is in a vertical position in the new context of overall aid traction.
The slim profile of the KX250F frame, two-piece radiator shrouds that leave the upper frame spars exposed, and careful design of the body remaining KX250F make the sensation of lightness and reduce under the rider.
The KX250F of high-performance suspension has been designed to complement the new framework. Up front, a double room Showa fork keeps the oil and air in rooms for the coherent implementation of depreciation for long sleeves. At the rear, a new UNI-TRAK ® system for the rear suspension, with a swing arm alloy conical with stringers and revised linkage ratios to maximize traction under acceleration.
Front and rear disc brakes provide petal to stop the KX250F. This not only helps to reduce unsprung weight, but the form of petal discs used to clean the brake pads more effective braking.
In addition to aggressive new bodywork and a new headquarters, the KX250F comes with a handlebar Renthal aluminum and aluminum plates slip standard. To reduce the total weight, the KX250F is using aluminum instead of steel for several components, including cable clutch elbow, cable clutch nut assembly, mounting fuel tank nuts, seat mounting brackets , Front brake clamp and hose ignition stay support. Kawasaki engineers also eliminated the upper mounting brackets previous models fork plastic protection.
Optional for the parties understand KX250F magneto rotors with different inertias, a 12-tooth countershaft gable top mounting fixture oversized handlebars, aluminium and steel rear sprockets, solid petal brake rotors for wet races, different sources for the front fork and rear shock, manual decompression lever and cable, and a 20-inch front wheel.
